321 Area Code to Reflect the Countdown Capital of the World

321 Area code is the code serving Brevard County, Florida. It was assigned to the area after a successful petition to commemorate the Space Coast’s impact on the county. The code 3-2-1 resembles the countdown which launches the many spacecraft from Cape Canaveral. Part of 321 also overlays area code 407 in the Orlando area. This is currently the only code in North America that is both the overlay of one established area code, but also the primary code of another. Also this is also the only code currently used with SatCom Satellite Phone units.

Florida 321 code has been in service since 1999. It has 230 landlines and 87 wireless prefixes (exchanges) serviced by 44 carriers. It covers 4 counties, 387 ZIP codes, and 39 cities, including Melbourne, Palm Bay, Cocoa, Titusville, Merritt Island, Rockledge, Cocoa Beach, Satellite Beach, and Cape Canaveral. All these places belongs to Eastern Time Zone (ET).

On December 1998, after the September 1998 hearings on “407 Area Code Relief”, Florida PSC issued this order:

“Customer concerns also are extremely important to our decision. In his testimony, public witness Robert Osband suggested that we implement a split using a new code. He had searched the database of the NANPA for all the available codes, and he recommended that we implement the “321” area code to signify the countdown, fitting for Brevard County, where the Kennedy Space Center is located and commonly known as “the Space Coast.”

On 1999 February 10, the Florida PSC issues a Press Release on the Order that created the code 321.

From 1999 November 01, Permissive Dialing Period begins in Non-Overlay Areas, so this code completely replaced the code 407 in Brevard County only, allowing those residents to maintain 7-digit dialing. In the remaining 407 Area, the 321 Code will be an Overlay where residents will be required to have 10-digit dialing for all calls – local or long distance. Callers to Bravard County may use either 407 or 321 to reach their party during the Permissive Period. It is at this time that the public is informed to use the new code. Brevard County residents will need new stationery and business cards to reflect their new code – but have 11 months to make the transition.

On 1999 December 01, mandatory 10 digit dialing begins in overlay area only. 321 code began issuing numbers to users in the Overlay Area of Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties. This means that people in the Overlay Area must use 10-digit dialing, since the number they are trying to reach might be assigned in either code, or both. Residents of the Overlay Area will keep their old telephone number, and will not need to change their stationery and business cards. Only newly issued telephone numbers will get numbers in the 321 code.

On 2000 October 01, mandatory use of 321 area code begins in non-overlay area. As a result, permissive Dialing ends. All callers must use the proper code when calling into Brevard County. Since Brevard County still has only one area code, residents maintain 7 digit dialing for local calls.

Learning Alternatives: Which One’s for You?

Introduction

“Good morning students”, greeted M’s Crabapple standing front and center of the tidy classroom. A throng of more than 30 students responded, “Good morning M’s Crabapple.” She continued, “First we’ll take roll call.” Then proceeded to call and check off each student as they responded, “present”. Next was an explanation of the proposed lessons for the day. There was copying of board work – lots of board work, and the staccato of lecturing and copying interspersed with recitations, was broken once in the morning for a fifteen minute recess and again at noon for lunch. The drilling resumed at the one o’clock bell, and continued until broken by the day’s final recess bell at three. “Don’t forget to study and do your homework”, the school-marm bellowed at the fleeing mass of students rushing the exit like they were abandoning a sinking ship.

Such might have been typical of “a day at school” for millions of students over a period of decades.

Learning Alternatives

Now however, the traditional role of schooling has radically been altered. A number of viable learning alternatives are available. What are some of the benefits and disadvantages of each of these learning alternatives? Let’s look at some of them.

Correspondence course

A correspondence course is traditionally, a class conducted through the mail. Lesson materials arrive by mail. The student then returns their completed work by return mail and waits for the next lesson to arrive by mail. The process continues and repeats until all the required lessons have been completed. There is no teacher to student contact other than the written word. Some programs nowadays do allow for telephone, e-mail or voice-mail contact. Only highly motivated, independent learners are able to benefit greatly from this type of learning.

Field Trips

Associated with both a traditional school setting and independent learning, field trips consist of students visiting a location outside of their school or home to learn about a topic or theme. Places visited might include businesses such as manufacturing facilities, a park, a museum, the Zoo or an aquarium, public services facilities like fire stations, TV or radio studios, hospitals or police stations. An effective learning strategy, this method does require a teacher or guide to fully accomplish. Also, setting up visits to some locales may be difficult or impossible for the individual learner.

Independent Study

Independent Study involves design of a project which students then complete by various means on their own. The collective work may require a number of intricately interacted facets to complete. Investigative research, writing, field trips, interviews, extensive reading and lectures may all be involved and required to complete project work. The final production is often a presentation, paper or report extolling the details of the student’s work and acquired knowledge.

Vocational School

An educational bastion for learning trade or technical skills, a vocational school teaches practical skills. Students are most often immediately employable by the private and commercial sectors upon completion of a course of study a vocational school. Fields like Health Care, Nursing, Electronics, Computer Science, Construction and Manufacturing that have a demand for skilled labor or technicians receive a steady supply of their labor force from these types of schools.

Educational Television Course

The vast majority of major metropolitan areas have one or more public broadcasting stations which feature educational programs. These programs are frequently part of an accredited course of study at a local College or University. Students watch (and often record) the TV programs at home, take notes and study the broadcast material as an integral part of their learning. Another effective strategy for the highly independent learner, this method does not promote interpersonal contact between teacher (if any) and learner.

Continuing Education

When adults want to resume their education at some point in their life, programs offered by Post-Secondary institutions which cater to these students’ specific needs are called Continuing Education. Some may last for only a day or two. Other programs can run for weeks with an intensity that can vary from an hour or two per week up to everyday class contact. Courses may be of personal interest topics like ethnic cooking, gardening, writing and photography, or employment-related areas such as welding, plumbing, languages, painting and construction. A highly popular option of today, these types of courses and programs promote interaction between students in the class, interactive learning and full teacher to student contact. There is usually lots of feedback between teacher and learners, and the learners themselves.

We likely will never see a return to “traditional” learning as was illustrated above. But with the growing variety of learning alternatives, there certainly is something to suit almost everyone. So get out of your rut. Take a chance – take a course and improve your mind and your life using one of the many learning alternatives available to you. If not, there’s always a M’s Crabapple waiting.

Collating Between Web Servers (Linux VS Windows)

When contrasting Windows and Linux VPS Hosting, your decision on operating system comes down to your expected use for your server(s). As x86 servers keep on growing in prominence, Linux servers are making strides. Windows unit shipments are additionally developing, yet more gradually. In this article, we’ll talk about the contrasts amongst Linux and Windows VPS hosting – particularly the variables, such as, stability, security, and cost of possession, particularly critical to business clients.

Operating System

The most evident distinction amongst Linux and Windows hosting is an operating system that keeps running on the server(s). The user interface contrasts have a tendency to be the most glaring. Windows clients who are changing to Linux will be in for a major stun when they first boot into the Linux command line. The syntax and functions found through the Linux command line are not at all like clicking around menus in Windows.

While a Linux group can look over numerous graphical user interfaces (GUIs), I would propose considering a Windows solutions rather if you intend to interact with the operating system itself instead of going through a tool, for example, cPanel, in order to install and upgrade software, introduce databases, and deal with your email server. This worry is alleviated if by any chance you already have a Linux director, however, the way toward figuring out how to design different bits of programming by means of a command line is just more than by far most of the occupied clients will experience. You may find yourself in over your head if you try.

Security

Linux is best referred to for its security when contrasted with Windows servers. Linux was planned particularly to be multiuser OS. Henceforth, just the (root client) administrator has the privilege to access everything, and a couple of different people who have the restricted benefits with a specific end goal to get to the bit or each other. Linux gets assaulted by malware and infections now and again, however that case is rare when contrasted with Windows where dangers likely involve it more.

Likewise, Windows can conceal the documents from the Sys Admin, while if there should be an occurrence of Linux, the framework head knows actually about each current record obviously and can control everything.

Stability

The vast majority who know about the Linux servers will concur that it has the capacity to keep running for a long time without demonstrating any failure or crash. Most organizations would confront disastrous results for even the scarcest of downtime, and regardless of whether those are little to medium-sized ones.

Linux can manage an enormous number of procedures running at the same time or at the same time without affecting anything. Windows slow performance in this regard. Windows is likewise expected to get rebooted and restarted sometimes that causes downtime. Despite the fact that Windows servers have enhanced with time, regardless it has far to go. The Linux does not get influenced if any kind of changes as far as the setup are finished.

Cost Factor

The Linux is usually free (or way less expensive) regardless of whether an enterprise version is purchased with client support when contrasted with Windows which is fundamentally a costly server in view of the consideration of the software license, additional items, and safety efforts.

Opportunity of assets

The proprietor is not bound to buy just certain sorts of equipment, software, operating system, processor, hosting, themes, and in this way, they are allowed to have any sort of assets that match their necessities. They can restrict the assets and in addition expand their necessity whatever works best for them. They are free to dispose of the present necessities and begin something different if something isn’t right.

This is the motivation behind why significant associations, for example, Google and Amazon have their own open-source OS to maintain their organizations and keep them up dependably.

What Is Motivation

Motivation is the characteristic that is required in order to achieve anything in life; without it you will give up at the first sign of adversity. It means to inspire, instigate and encourage a person to do their best. Motivation will compel a person to think “If I can’t, then I must” and will cause them to do whatever it takes to become successful. If you inspire motivation it can change your life. You will be inspired to get what you want regardless of what people tell you that you can not do. I have personally seen people apply the motivation factors in life to get from poverty to a life filled with abundance.

Do you think you possess the quality? Only you can answer this question. Take a honest look at yourself; do you find yourself pursuing your goals everyday? Are you doing something to work towards them regardless of what is going on in your life? If you are then you; then my friend you do possess this characteristic and you will reach all your goals. I wake up at 5:00 in the morning to get started on my goals. I am passionate about reaching all my goals. Do you find yourself doing this or are you making excuses of why you can not work on a goal?

It will give you the passion to begin exploring what it is you really want to do in life, and give you the courage to follow your dreams. If you do not like where you currently are and are living life everyday unhappy and frustrated; it probably is because you do not possess any motivation for what you are currently doing. It is up to you to find out what you would really like to be doing with your life. What kind of lifestyle do you want? What kind of career do you want? Do you actually know what it is that would make you happy and excited about getting up out of bed in the morning?

This is a strong quality for anyone to possess; and you can only possess it when you set a burning desire to be do have something in life. No one can give it to you. It can change a persons life in many ways. It can change the way you think, and when you become involved with personal development and become a much more positive individual motivation will get you out of your negative environment.

It is the fuel that inspires us to reach our goals and achieve what we truly desire. It also allows us to keep getting up and moving forward when we get knocked down. Getting motivated and staying motivated gives us the energy we require to reach our goals in the shortest amount of time possible. It is required to meet our goals and do anything purposeful in life. Without it you will not want to get out of bed, clean the house, walk the dogs or do anything at all. Being successful in life and motivation go hand in hand. When you learn how to achieve motivation for something you truly desire; nothing can stop you from having it. So think about it; what truly motivates you then take action towards it and watch it become your reality.

Caribbean Food – A Little History

The Arawak, Carib, and Taino Indians were the first inhabitants of the Caribbean islands. These first inhabitants occupied the present day islands of British Virgin Islands, Cuba, Dominica, Grenada, Haiti, Trinidad, and Jamaica. Their daily diet consisted of vegetables and fruits such as papaw, yams, guavas, and cassava. The Taino started the process of cooking meat and fish in large clay pots.

The Arawaks are the first people known to make a grate of thin green wood strips on which they slowly cooked meat, allowing it to be enhanced by the flavor of the wood. This grate was called a barbacoa, and the word we know today as barbeque is taken from this early Indian cooking method.

The Carib Indians added more spice to their food with hot pepper sauces, and also added lemon and lime juice to their meat and fish recipes. The Caribs are said to have made the first pepper pot stew. No recipes exist since every time the Indians made the dish, they would always add new ingredients. The Carib had a big impact on early Caribbean history, and the Caribbean sea was named after this tribe.

Then the Caribbean became a crossroads for the world . . .

Once the Europeans brought Africans slaves into the region, the slaves diet consisted mostly of food the slave owners did not want to eat. So the slaves had to be inventive, and they blended their traditional African foods with staples found on the islands. The Africans introduced okra, callaloo, fish cakes, saltfish, ackee, pudding and souse, mangos, and the list goes on.

Most present day Caribbean island locals eat a present diet that is reflective of the main ingredients of original early African dishes, and includes cassava, sweet potatoes, yams, plantains, bananas and corn meal.

African men were hunters in their homeland, and often away from home for long periods of time. They would cook spicy pork over hot coals, and this tradition was refined by the early slaves in Jamaica. The technique is known today as “jerk” cooking , and the secret involves a slow meat cooking process. Jamaica is famous for jerk chicken and pork, and you’ll find jerk all over the island.

After slavery was abolished, the Europeans went to India and China for labor, and more cooking styles were introduced. Much of the Indian cooking culture remains alive and well in the Caribbean of today with the introduction of curried meats and curry powder. Indians call it kari podi, and we have come to know this pungent flavor as curry.

The Chinese introduced rice, which is always a staple in home cooked island meals. The Chinese also introduced mustard, and the early Portuguese sailors introduced the popular codfish.

Most visitors to the Caribbean have no idea that the fruit trees and fruits so familiar to the islands were introduced by the early Spanish explorers. The fruit trees and fruits brought from Spain include orange, lime, ginger, plantains, figs, date palms, sugar cane, grapes, tamarinds and coconuts.

Even the Polynesian islands play an important role in Caribbean cooking. Most of us remember the movie “Mutiny on the Bounty”, but do not know that particular ship carried breadfruit, which was loaded on board from the islands of Tahiti and Timor. In the movie the crew took over the ship, forced the captain into a small boat to fend on his own, and they threw the breadfruit, which they considered “strange fruit” overboard. Another ship was more successful in bringing breadfruit from Polynesia to Jamaica and the St Vincent and the Grenadines. Breadfruit is a staple diet in the current day Caribbean

America is responsible for introducing beans, corn, squash, potatoes, tomatoes, and chili pepper to the Caribbean. In fact these particular foods had never been seen in Asia, Europe or Africa, so America actually introduced these foods the rest of the world via the Caribbean.

So it’s no wonder Caribbean cooking is so rich and creative with the flavors of Africa, India, and China, along with Spanish, Danish, Portuguese, French and British influences. Food served in the Caribbean islands have been influenced by the cultures of the world, but each island adds its own special flavor and cooking technique.

Your Pharmacist Is A Bottleneck

You’ve been there. You go to the pharmacy to drop off your prescription. You start by waiting in line to give the technician your prescription. Once you hand it off, he tells you it will be, say, twenty minutes until the medication is ready to be picked up. You roam the store and come back in twenty minutes to find that your prescription is not ready. Naturally, you’re a little perturbed. Ever wondered why it isn’t ready?

When you drop off a prescription, it goes through multiple stages before it is sent to the register to be picked up by the customer. Once the pharmacy obtains the new prescription, the patient’s name, date of birth, address, phone number, allergy information, and insurance information all have to be verified and updated if necessary. The prescription is then scanned into the computer so that an electronic copy can be made. The technician then has to manually input the data from the prescription. Once this happens, it is sent to the pharmacist, or in this case, the bottleneck. A bottleneck occurs when the limited capacity of a process causes work to pile up or become unevenly distributed in the flow of a process. Unless your pharmacist is Superman, he is going to be a bottleneck of the prescription filling process. With several technicians inputting medications, there is bound to be a pile of work at the pharmacist’s station, since the typical ratio of technicians to pharmacists is 4 to 1.

The pharmacist must perform a function called “Four Point”. This is where he checks to make sure that the technician input all of the information correctly and verifies that the doctor wrote for an appropriate therapy. At this point, insurance often plays a role in the delay of filling your “script”, another bottleneck, of course. Insurance problems go back to the technicians, for troubleshooting. Once problems are resolved, the work is sent out to technicians who actually count your medication. Ever seen a technician starving? It happens. Starving occurs when the activities in a stage must stop because there is no work. Technicians cannot count the medication until the pharmacist gives the o.k. to do so. Since the pharmacist is the bottleneck in the whole operation, he starves the technicians of work. Once the technician counts the medication, it is set on racks in front of the pharmacist. This part of the process is called “Visual Verification”. The pharmacist checks each medication to ensure that the correct drug and the correct quantity has been dispensed. Again, there is one pharmacist per four technicians. There tends to be a pile in front of the pharmacist at this point. Blocking may occur at this point. Blocking occurs when the activities in a stage must stop because there is no place to deposit the item just completed. Often, there is no room to put the basket or tote that contains the medication in front of the pharmacist. Sometimes, it comes to the point where the pharmacist is so backed up that there are no totes available. When no totes are available, the technicians cannot carry on with work and count more medications, or your medication. Once the pharmacist ensures that the medication is correct, it is bagged.

The prescription must be checked in multiple ways at this stage. If the prescription is new to the patient, it has to be bagged separately and differently than if the prescription is a refill. If the prescription costs more than a certain amount, say $50, the bagger indicates that the medicine must be paid for at the pharmacy and cannot be taken to another register in the store. Finally, the prescription is taken to the area for pick up. Now imagine a pharmacy that fills 700 prescriptions daily. An average pharmacy is open 12 hours. Your pharmacy is filling 58.3 prescriptions per hour. There are four technicians to do the labor, which amounts to 14.5 prescriptions each, per hour. A pharmacist checks all 58.3 prescriptions each hour. Of course we want to be certain that the pharmacist has done his job and we obtain the correct medication and are consulted and treated in a respectful manner. Pharmacies have found ways to install processes that ensure a smooth flow of work between the technicians and pharmacists. However, pharmacists are humans, not machines, and they have a major responsibility and liability towards each patient’s health. We trust that they spend the appropriate amount of time reviewing our health history, the therapy suggested by the doctor and the implications it may have for us. Now, are you still mad?

An Analysis of the Music Industry: EDM Industry

EDM GROWTH STATISTICS 2018:

When it comes to music, the world has a few EDM growth statistics that prove just how valuable music is to society. Music, more specifically EDM, or electronic dance music, has made quite the impact these past few years toward their target market and listeners all over the world. Just in the U.S. alone, there are several things that prove just how much the EDM market is starting to grow in the country. Here area few statistics that show the impact that electronic dance music has been having on the masses who listen to music every day.

OVERALL MARKET:

In 2018, Billboard released a market statistic that proved the value and worth of the electronic dance music market. In this statistical statement, the company shows a 12-percent growth within one year where many changes took place with this musical revolution. EDM has since been incorporated in various genres and subgenres, though it has made quite the name for itself as well. While the overall market has been growing, there are a few submarkets that have incorporated into this market growth.

YOUTUBE SUBSCRIPTIONS

One of the biggest helpers in this EDM market growth was YouTube. Just in the past few years alone,YouTube has incorporated for at least three different areas of subscribers. 60-percent growth has been seen on smartphones of all kinds, 77-percent on televisions, and 175-percent on all gaming consoles. The YouTube versions of the albums released had grossed a total of 2.3 billion views. This is a combination of videos. This growth for EDM on YouTube has brought a few numbers up in the overall market.

FESTIVALS AND TICKETS

Another big supporter of this overall growth trend in the electronic music department is the festivals and tickets to various festivals and concerts. In the past few years, the 2017 sales from festivals and tickets to festivals have been grossed around 146,999,963 total tickets. The money value for each ticket is different, which makes the annual festival season the biggest times of the year for sales in the electronic dance music department. This has also incorporated with that overall growth number mentioned at the start.

CLUBS

2018 seems to have been the big starting year for EDM. Well, in 2017, along with the intense overall growth, 12 of the largest clubs in the U.S. alone began to play EDM in their clubs. These clubs include places like Las Vegas, Miami, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Their total revenue was

generated and combined to come up with a total of $900 million just in 2016. It is safe to say that these numbers have grown in the past few years as the popularity of electronic dance music has grown as well.

ALBUMS

Albums that specialize in electronic dance music has also contributed to the overall growth of this genre of music. In 2014, there were 12 EDM specific albums that were known in the top 100 selling albums during that year. in 2016 there were 36. This means that 12 albums, covered in electronic dance music, sold enough albums to be in the top 100 albums for that year. Considering how many people were entranced with the music enough to purchase albums is only one reason why EDM has grown considerably in the past few years.

SUMMARY STATISTICS

  • 147,000,000 EDM festival tickets are sold annually
  • The global economic value of the EDM Industry is currently estimated at $7.1 Billion
  • Only 45% of EDM listeners are female
  • In Europe, 1 in 7 people have recently attended an EDM event
  • North America is estimated to represent around 29 percent of the EDM industry
  • Spotify commands 12 billion streams from electronic music genres alone

Shocking Diet by 50 Cent – 50 Cent Radical Liquid Diet Weight Loss Details

50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson III, undergone a 9-week stern diet and successfully shed 54 pounds off his body to play the role of a cancer patient on his upcoming movie “Things Fall Apart”. The diet consists only of pure liquids -well known as liquid diet- as well as a three-hour walk on the treadmill every day.

The reveal of his photos put people over the globe in complete shock and disbelief. Some of them began popping questions about whether such prompt yet drastic dietis healthy and rational.

However, Dr. Douglas Husbands, a nutritionist from California revealed to the press that this is an unhealthy way to diet due to several reasons: it cannot be applied for a long term diet, can cause the loss of muscle tissues and does not remove toxins that are stored in fat. He claimed that a sensible weight loss program that takes longer time may be in anyway safer. He also added that such methods used to grab acting opportunities in the entertainment world could fetch dire consequences if not managed properly.

50 Cent made a claim that he has began eating like normal and should gain back his weight in no time. Dr. Douglas also commented that gaining weight too promptly can be very dangerous. All in all, anything done is a split second will never do you good. Some ordinary people have also thrown remarks saying such diet is seriously insane and this should not even be done by educated and submissive professional trainers. No doubt 50 Cent is an enthusiast with no unachievable goals.

Marion Nestle, a food studies professor from New York University said that the level of risk depends on how fast and how much weight is lost. Most people are able to handle a few pounds but rapid weight loss could be fatal. However if the diet is done carefully then they are unlikely to suffer from any health problems.

Such absurd way of dieting used by 50 Cent is just a fraction of what most celebrities are doing. Other famous stars such as Victoria Beckham, Kardashians’ sisters, Beyonce, Renee Zellweger, and Tom Hanks have also been involved in diet plans, although some may not be as extreme as Curtis Jackson’s. The spreading of the diet news could be a negative influence to the public and professionals are delivering advice to ordinary people not to imitate any diet programs used by Hollywood stars.

Home Sweet Retirement Home – Making Decisions

Where you live is important. This seems to be a burning question for many of us at retirement age. I hear it from my clients and my friends and I’ve been thinking about it myself. Urban or suburban? Mountains and forest or ocean and sand? Near my family or as far away as possible? House? Gated community? Sprawling apartment complex? Old or new? So many issues, so little time!

Here are three lists to get you started thinking about your surroundings.

List 1:  What do I want in my surroundings?

  • physical layout (think about stairs, for instance),
  • amount of space,
  • own or rent,
  • view or no view,
  • city, suburbs or country,
  • access to transportation,
  • price range (including extra charges like maintenance, heat, water and electricity),
  • access to activities (try to be realistic about the things you actually DO not the ones you’ve always thought you might do),
  • access to friends,
  • access to medical providers, climate,
  • keep adding your own items.

List 2 – What do I absolutely need?

This list includes your bare minimum requirements winnowed down from list #1. It should also include cost factors – I can’t spend more than $XXXX.

List 3 – What do I absolutely NOT want?

You may be surprised by what shows up here. Maybe you don’t want to ever shovel snow or have upstairs neighbors or be within spittin’ distance of your relatives.

Use these three lists to research every possible location. Take good notes on how each meets your criteria. Try your top three on for size before you make a big decision, if you can. Use the suggestions below during your trial visit:

Look for a socioeconomic match – feel comfortable that you can live well within your means.

Identify local groups that share your passion – hiking, cooking, theater – there’s a group for almost anything.

Observe the social networks to see if they meet your needs – think about how much interaction you want or need. How much time do the neighbors spend chatting? Must you join in? Is there pressure to become part of the local church or temple? The neighborhood association? Does everyone maintain a strict isolationist policy?

Read the local papers to see if the area activities appeal to you. This is a great way to pick up information about the tone and values of the area as well.

Visit your new neighbors to begin to develop a network. This also may uncover nasty surprises – like howling dogs or chain smokers directly below you.

Invite people in for a meal or to join you at a local eatery – dinner, a weekend brunch – make it casual and easy and allow for lots of interaction.

Get involved early – be a guest at clubs, civic or religious organizations, a book club or special interest group. Join a local friend in a volunteer activity. Check out the gym or club.

I’ve been visiting retired friends over the past several months and can attest to the power of location. Those who chose well are involved in all kinds of new activities as well as being able to continue those they’ve always loved. A few have become much nicer human beings away from the stressors in their old environment. Some chose poorly and are miserable, fighting with stairs or financial constraints or noise or undesirable neighbors.

Who will you be?
